Prerequisites : The user has opened a scenario and the “settings” tab.
In the settings tab, the “advanced settings” can be used to adjust a few options :
- GPS position→ Show position: geolocates the user on the map. (requires geolocation) → Track position: a path retracing the last positions is drawn in red → Number of GPS positions: saves the last positions into the session file in order to create the path → Sensitivity of the position tracking: only record distinct positions (when the user moves)
- Starting position→ Initial latitude → Initial longitude → Scale of zoom start (Country, region, city …)
- Permissions: these will allow the user to : → Write a note → Take a picture → Create a diagram → Use the compass → Use the clinometer → Export session in KMZ (compatible with google earth)
- Sound
- Record the sound (into a sound file)
- Record the sound level (basically ambient noise) – This record is converted into a csv file, you can set the: → Time between two measurements (min: 100ms) → Duration of sound capture (ms) – for example, 5000 ms make 50 measures over time with a duration of 100ms between each measures ( 50 * 100 = 5000 )
- Enable team play : An internet connection is required : it sets a widget in the menu to easily display a qrcode and be joined by a team → Broadcast the user’s position → View the position of players of your team → Activate instant chat → Allow to see the position of other teams This last point creates a widget in the menu that enables you to join a team → Allow instant chat with other teams
- Educational Tracks: Allow to record user actions such as: write a note, open a point of interest … Used in order to complement the session information that already provides recorded content (note, photo) as well as movements tracking if “Track position” is activated.
- Time Limited Scenario The scenario has to be performed in limited time. For that, a tapering chronometer is displayed in the app;
